DPG and DNC in Macon Today

The DPG and the DNC joined hands today for training in Macon. I understand that both message and strategic planning were on the agenda. I, for one, am glad to see the Party doing training outside the metro area. I would've been there, but I am out of town. I hope that it was a great, productive meeting. Did anyone out there attend?

I hope it was great and productive too, but I didn't go given the chance, because my hopes were not very high.

When's the last time you went to a Democratic Party of Georgia training, benson? I've been to two and they've been phenomenal. The one today was mostly excellent, as well. As usual, we could've used more time with the presenters, but I'll be happy to take the info back to Liberty County with me and get to work for 2006.

benson doesn't need elementary training. He's already a pro. trainings phenomenal? no...needed? yes...productive? we'll see. I've been going to these for 2 years now, but there seems to be a lack of strategic planning to drop people back in to.

Incidentally, I went to the one they had last year in Marietta. That wasn't bad, but I don't think I needed a rehash.

Well excuse me--I suppose us stupid South Georgians aren't bright enough to recognize phenomenal when we see it. We're just so elementary, we'd be happy to learn what a voter file is.

Would yall metro Atlanta professionals like to come down and and help us ignorant southerners? Or do you even find any use for us?

I heard from others there, some vets, some new that they found the day beneficial. I do think that it is important to continue with efforts to provide training. It would be great if there was some sort of ongoing program that took people through levels of training to facilitate leadership development.
