Trouble for Taylor? From the Tip Line...

From the tip line: Sonny's not dumb. This Sunday, Sonny will be speaking at one of the largest African American churches in Middle Georgia. He will be the guest of Rev. Watson, pastor of Beulahland Baptist Church in Macon, hosting Teacher Appreciation Day. I understand that this event, complete with gifts for teachers, was announced over the intercoms in some of our public schools in Bibb County today. (That seems just a bit like Sonny using school resources-again-to politic.) Talk about taking aim at Taylor's base. This is not good news for Dems.

A word of caution to the people of middle Georgia........BEWARE politicans bearing gifts during an election year.

It looks like a response to the latest polls which showed a surprisingly high number of African-Americans and women either siding with Perdue or being undecided. This isn't good news. Because he only has to win some of these folks, not a huge amount of them.

However, Taylor's trying to make inroads with some of the Perdue base with his "Sportsmen for Taylor" website. I think he can talk some of those white men in southwest GA that always vote Republican to at least give him some consideration.

I should probably rephrase. Clearly, this is not Sonny's doing, but rather his highly paid consultants.

this is *GREAT* news for Dems.

The African AMerican vote is NOT in play. SP is not labeling himself as a Republican, once he does, those "undecided" African Americans move into MT's column.

Moreover, MT swept the black vote in the primary. Why would they then proceed to not know if they will vote for him.

Go on SP, court voters who won't be voting for you. MT will go after swing votes and truly undecideds and we will see the benefits on election day. Oh, and before I forget...if this *is* your strategy SP, good luck. You'll need it.

ps: most assinine concern ever.

It's September---time for the Dems to start differentiating themselves from the Republs in ways
that are interesting and exciting enough to pull voters out of what Bunyan might have called "the slough of apathy."
