Gov. Haley's $70 Million Dollar Snub

Tell me what's wrong with this picture: South Carolina's first female Governor shows the door to the first women ever to be featured on the cover of Fortune Magazine, a women who gave $70 Million Dollars to the Darla Moore School of Business at USC. Yeah, Darla Moore is the donor Haley just ousted from the USC Board of Trustees. The free football tickets will instead go to Haley campaign donor and Southern Baptist Convention Board Member, Tommy Cofield.

Haley has "great respect" for Ms. Moore and looks forward to her "future service." Clearly.

From The Discust.com, here's a satirical take on South Carolina's race to the bottom. Here's a taste:

In a stunning series of events, Governor Nikki Haley has replaced wealthy philanthropist Darla Moore with one of her political contributors on the University of South Carolina’s Board of Trustees. Additionally the school has announced the formation of the Nikki Haley School of Political Economics. Classes are scheduled to begin in the Fall semester. This is a shocking turn of events,” said USC political studies major Rick Vaughn, “but honestly I think it’s long overdue. There’s a lot of talk in our classes about the impact of money on government, but nobody is really willing to teach us how to manipulate it properly to achieve the desired result. I’m hoping this new curriculum will do that.
