Rep. Dutton Makes a Point in Texas
Georgia's not the only southern state facing a barrage of pro-birth legislation. Over in Texas, Rep. Dutton has a unique way of making the point that being pro-birth isn't the same as being pro-life. How? Rep. Dutton offered interesting amendments to an a bill requiring that women have a sonogram and wait a day before being allowed to have a (legal) abortion. For instance, one of Dutton's amendments required that if a women decided not to have an abortion after viewing the sonogram, the State of Texas would pay for the child's college tuition. (For those of you in Georgia who have been watching the HOPE fight, that would be free college regardless of GPA.) Of course, his amendments hit the table the second they came to the floor, but he made his point. Good for him! Let's make it a trend.

"Right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness..." A right to a college education? Is there anything one isn't entitled to in the mind of a liberal?
